Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
