The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
