The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and the night when it grows still and dark. 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and then gave you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and of thy Sustainer's blessings shalt thou [ever] speak. 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
