'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Aaron my brother 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 so that we may glorify 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
