Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And indeed We are Able to show you the promise they are given. 95 Dispel evil with what is good. We know well what they attribute (to Us). 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 O our Lord! Take us out of it; then if we return (to evil) surely we shall be unjust. 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 God will say, "You have indeed remained there for a short time. Would that you knew it during your life time. 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for Thou art the best of the merciful.' 118
