The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
