Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best-Acquainted with the things they utter. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 Until, when death comes to one* of them, he says, “O my Lord, send me back!” (The disbelievers) 99 “Perhaps I may do some good deeds in what I have left behind”; this is just a word that he utters from his mouth; and confronting them is a barrier until the day in which they will be raised. 100 When the trumpet blast is sounded no ties of lineage will hold among them, nor will they ask after one another. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 God will say, "Stay there and do not speak to Me. 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 “So you took them for a mockery until your mocking at them made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them!” 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, so that they, and they alone, are triumphant." 111 He (Allah) will say: "What number of years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
