Have you not seen how those who dispute the signs of God are turned away? 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 when fetters will be placed around their necks and chains will drag them 71 Into boiling water, then in the fire shall they be burned; 72 then it is said to them, 'Where are those you associated, apart from God?' 73 They will say, "They have been lost to us; nay, we did not invoke anything before [that had real existence]." Thus God leaves the deniers of the truth to stray; 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 Enter Hell now to abide in it. How woeful is the abode of those who wax proud! 76 So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned. 77 Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief. 78
