Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 they who blunder along, in ignorance lost 11 They ask: "When is the Day of Judgement?" -- 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and at dawn would ask forgiveness, 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking. 23
