Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble scribes 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
