And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed on him his household and along with them the like thereof, out of mercy from us, and a remembrance unto men of understanding. 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered]. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what they had been promised for the Day of Judgment. 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 Here is an army rushing blindly with you. (Those who are already in the Fire say): No word of welcome for them. Lo! they will roast at the Fire. 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They will say: 'Our Lord, give those who brought this upon us double the punishment of the Fire' 61 And they will say, "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we used to count among the wicked, 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
