Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
