The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
