Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 until you visit the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 You will certainly have the knowledge of your deeds beyond all doubt. 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Aye, ye will behold it with sure vision. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
