Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
