The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes indeed, and you will be brought low." 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
