So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And granted them signs in which there was a plain trial. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 So bring our fathers [back], if what you say is true. 36 Are they, then, better than the people of Tubba and those before them, whom We destroyed because they were truly lost in [the same] sin? 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We did not create them save with a purpose, yet most people have no knowledge of this. 39 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] is the term appointed for all of them: 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Save those on whom Allah shall have mercy; surely He is the Mighty the Merciful. 42
