The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And by oath of the Promised Day. 2 And [by] the witness and what is witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 As they sat around it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
