We created man out of dry clay, from moulded mud, 26 And the jinn did We create aforetime of essential fire. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him in prostration! 29 All the angels prostrated themselves, 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 He said: O Iblis! what excuse have you that you are not with those who make obeisance? 32 He replied, "I am not one to prostrate myself to a man whom You have created out of a clay of moulded mud." 33 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 34 Condemned till the day of Doom!" 35 Iblis said: "My Lord! Grant me respite till the Day when they will be resurrected." 36 "You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord), 37 until the day of a known time." 38 Iblis said, "Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of them 39 Except the chosen ones among Your creatures." 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 Surely, as regards My servants, you have no authority, over them except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
