▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning unto humankind 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 except the people of the right hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until death approached us". 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
