The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
