▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens- 46 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 47 abounding in branches -- 48 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 49 In them (each) will be two Springs flowing (free); 50 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 51 In which will be of every fruit two kinds. 52 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 53 Reclining upon the couches lined with silk brocade, and the fruits of the two Gardens will be near at hand. 54 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 55 therein maidens restraining their glances, untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 56 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 57 [When you are promised splendours] as though [of] rubies and [of] pearls 58 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 61 And besides these two there shall be two other Gardens. 62 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 63 Dark-green in colour (from plentiful watering). 64 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 65 In them (each) will be two Springs pouring forth water in continuous abundance: 66 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 67 Therein will be fruits and dates and pomegranates. 68 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 69 There will be well-disciplined, beautiful maidens. 70 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 71 houris, cloistered in cool pavilions -- 72 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? -- 73 Whom no man or Jinn before them has touched;- 74 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 77 Most Auspicious is the name of your Lord, the Most Majestic and the Most Honourable. 78
God the Almighty always says the truth.
