Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
