Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 troubled and tired as a result of their deeds in the past. 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 Well-pleased because of their striving, 9 In a Garden on high, 10 wherein they will not hear any vain talk. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 and raised couches, 13 and goblets laid out, 14 and cushions ranged, 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment. 24 To Us is surely their returning; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
