Man says, 'What, when I am dead shall I then be brought forth alive?' 66 But does man not remember that We created him when he was nothing before? 67 By your Lord, We will bring them back to life with satan and gather them around hell in large groups. 68 from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. 69 Moreover, We well know those who most deserve to be burned in hell. 70 There is not one of you but shall approach it. That is a fixed ordinance of thy Lord. 71 Then We shall deliver those that were godfearing; and the evildoers We shall leave there, hobbling on their knees. 72 And when Our clear verses are recited to them, the disbelievers say to the Muslims, “Which group has a better home, and a better alliance?” 73 But how many (countless) generations before them have we destroyed, who were even better in equipment and in glitter to the eye? 74 Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army. 75 God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence. 76 Hast thou observed him who disbelieveth in Our signs and saith: surely I shall be vouchsafed riches and children. 77 Has he obtained knowledge of the Unseen, or has he taken a covenant with the Most Compassionate Lord? 78 By no means! We write down what he says, and We will lengthen to him the length of the chastisement 79 and divest him of all that he is [now] speaking of: for [on Judgment Day] he will appear before Us in a lonely state. 80 And they have taken gods, other than Allah, that they might be a power from them. 81 Indeed no! They will renounce their worship and turn against them. 82
