Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely you are at variance (about the Hereafter); 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They slept little in the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
