In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 or orders piety? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 So let him call his associates, 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
