Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
