Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them – 55 We vie in good works for them? Nay, but they are not aware. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 who believe in the verses of their Lord; 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 On the contrary, their hearts are in neglect of this and their works are different than those of the believers, the works that they are doing. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 For when My revelations were read out to you, you turned back on your heels and fled 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or, is it because they do not recognize their Messenger that they denied him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are from the path deviating. 74 ۞ Even if We showed them mercy and relieved them of their afflictions, they would still persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We struck them with torment, but they did not submit themselves to their Lord, nor did they make themselves humble 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. 77
