And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
