3/4 Hizb 45

And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
