And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 and We helped them, so that they were victorious; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
