What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, 36 [coming upon thee] from the right and from the left, in crowds? 37 Does every one of them aspire to be admitted into a Garden of Delight? 38 Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know. 39 I swear by the Lord of the easts and the wests that We have the power 40 to replace them with [people] better than they are; for there is nothing to prevent Us [from doing what We will]. 41 So leave them alone to plunge and play, until they encounter the Day which they are promised; 42 The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. 43 Their eyes lowered in dejection, ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised! 44
