Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
