۞ Say: "I counsel you one thing only: Be [ever conscious of] standing before God, whether you are in the company of others or alone; and then bethink yourselves [that] there is no madness in [this prophet,] your fellow-man: he is only a warner to you of suffering severe to come." 46 Say to them: “Whatever recompense I might ask of you, it shall be yours. My recompense is with Allah, and He is witness over everything.” 47 Say to them, "My Lord hurls forth the Truth [at falsehood] and He is the knower of hidden things." 48 Proclaim, “The truth has come, and falsehood dare not commence nor return.” 49 Say: "If (even) I go astray, I shall stray only to my own loss. But if I remain guided, it is because of the Inspiration of my Lord to me. Truly, He is AllHearer, Ever Near (to all things)." 50 And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place 51 And they will say (in the Hereafter): "We do believe (now);" but how could they receive (Faith and the acceptance of their repentance by Allah) from a place so far off (i.e. to return to the worldly life again). 52 And they had already disbelieved in it before and would assault the unseen from a place far away. 53 And they will be shut off from that which they will eagerly desire, as shall be done with the likes of them of yore. Verily they have been in doubt perplexing. 54
