By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 a warning to humankind, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Except those of the right hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So, whoever wills may benefit from it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
