۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 Then We drave them forth from gardens and springs. 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 and when the groups came face to face, the companions of Moses cried out: "We are overtaken!" 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 And We made the other party approach thither. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
