Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
