The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

286 verses, revealed in Medina after The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen) before The Spoils of War (Al-Anfaal)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 That is the (Holy) Book, where there is no doubt. It is a guidance for the cautious (of evil and Hell). 2 Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them; 3 And who believe in that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and are certain of the Hereafter. 4 These are guided by their Lord; these surely are the prosperous. 5 Verily those who have disbelieved, it is equal to them whether thou warnest them or warnest them not; they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and their hearing, and over their eyes is a veil; and awesome suffering awaits them. 7
