3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 This is how We reward the virtuous. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and to his people: "What is it that which you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 (Abraham) said, "I will go to my Lord who will guide me". 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
