Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an. 1 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allah). 2 ‘And that our Lord’s Majesty is Supreme – He has neither chosen a wife nor a child.’ 3 And the foolish among us were wont to forge lies against Allah exceedingly. 4 And that we thought that men and jinn did not utter a lie against Allah: 5 ‘And indeed some men among humans used to take the protection of some men among jinns, so it further increased their haughtiness.’ 6 And that they thought as you think, that Allah would not raise anyone: 7 We sought to pry into the secrets of the heavens, but found it full of fierce guards and shooting flames. 8 and that “we would take up stations in the heaven to try to hear but anyone who now attempts to listen finds a shooting meteor in wait for him”; 9 And we know not whether evil is boded for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth for them a right direction. 10 And that some of us are good and others of us are below that: we are sects following different ways: 11 Indeed, we thought that we should never be able to frustrate God in the earth, neither be able to frustrate Him by flight. 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully. 14 but those who are wrongdoers will become the fuel of Hell." 15 And had they kept to the path surely We would have watered them with rain plenteous. 16 as a trial for them. God will make those who disregard the guidance from their Lord suffer increasing torment. 17 And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. 18 Yet [thus it is] that whenever a servant of God stands up in prayer to Him, they [who are bent on denying the truth] would gladly overwhelm him with their crowds. 19
