Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 Till a limit known? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
