Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ We cast him out of the fish unto dry land and he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow up for him a gourdplant. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 Allah has begotten; and most surely they are liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 except those who will burn in Hell. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They used to say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And turn away from them for some time. 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be upon all His message-bearers! 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
