Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 enjoying all that their Sustainer will have granted them [because,] verily, they were doers of good in the past: 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
