But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And what you do not see 39 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is the word of a noble Messenger. 40 And it is not the speech of a poet; how little do you believe! 41 Nor is this the speech of a soothsayer. Little do you reflect! 42 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein, 46 And not one of you would have been able to stop (Us). 47 Surely it is a Good Counsel for the God-fearing. 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran). [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 29, Page 68] 49 And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. 50 And most surely it is the true certainty 51 (Muhammad), glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 52
God the Almighty always says the truth.
