The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The people’s reckoning is near, whereas they are in neglect, turned away! 1 Whenever a new advice comes to them from their Lord, they do not listen to it except while playing. 2 With their hearts occupied (with evil things) those who do wrong, conceal their private counsels, (saying): "Is this (Muhammad SAW) more than a human being like you? Will you submit to magic while you see it?" 3 The Prophet said, "My Lord knows whatever is said throughout the heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing." 4 But they say, "[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles]." 5 (As to those) before them, not one of the populations which We destroyed believed: will these believe? 6 And We sent not before thee but men unto whom We revealed; so ask the people of the admonition if ye know not. 7 Nor did We make them bodies that ate no food, nor were they immortal. 8 In the end We fulfilled to them Our Promise, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds. 9 Certainly We have revealed to you a Book in which is your good remembrance; what! do you not then understand? 10
