We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
