Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
