The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
