Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 He shall soon burn in fire that flames, 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
